2023 Early-bird registration rates ($300) are available until Sept 17. After that the fees will increase to $325. *See info below regarding financial support for sports fees.
Regular practices and games will start the first week of November at the Black Diamond outdoor rink. In addition, on Friday’s September 22nd and 27th from 4:30 – 9:15 ice sessions are available for all MSA hockey registrants at the Black Diamond indoor rink. Age groups and times will be communicated mid-September.
New this year is drop-in ball hockey for all age groups (U7 to U18) – getting the kids ready for the season and having some fun! Coordinated skill level and age-appropriate games will be organized at the Millarville outdoor rink on Friday’s from 5:30 to 7:00 starting September 8th, ending on October 27th. (Note - no ball hockey on September 22nd and 27th, and all games are weather dependent). Players are required to have a helmet, gloves and hockey stick. Sign-up is not required.
A Hockey Gear Swap is scheduled for September 12th from 3:00 to 5:30 at the Millarville outdoor rink. For further information, please contact Robyn Hanna (robynhanna@yahoo.com).
The MSA is run exclusively by volunteers. All families in the hockey program are required to volunteer for the program to run. Each family will be scheduled to assist with ice maintenance for one week, and additional volunteer opportunities include coaching, team manager, concession volunteering, jersey manager, MSA board positions, and more.
