Soccer

The MSA outdoor soccer program is open to girls and boys from the community for levels U5 - U15/U17.

U5 and U7 teams are house-league teams, meeting at the Millarville School fields on Saturday mornings for combined practice and games.  Additional games with neighbouring town clubs may occur if timing and weather permits.

The U9 through U15 teams are structured to match the age groups for Soccer Alberta League play, and teams will participate in the High Country Soccer League.  Practices will happen once per week as agreed upon by the coach and parents, and games will be on weekday evenings as scheduled by the league.  Participating clubs in the high country league include Red Deer Lake, Oilfields, Okotoks, Nanton, High River, and Vulcan.

The MSA soccer program prioritizes the fundamentals of soccer and stresses good sportsmanship and fair play.

Coaches are encouraged to maintain equal play time for all players, regardless of age or skill level and reward positive attitudes and ongoing skills improvements.  The program encourages participation of both players and their families.

MSA soccer also tries to maintain a referee community with education, support and wages provided.
